Little Bear Lake Resort is a family operated, year round vacation resort located in Northern Saskatchewan. Known province wide for it's record size Lake Trout. Surrounded by numerous stocked trout lakes makes Little Bear Lake Resort the flyfisherman's dream destination. The lakes are stocked with Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Tiger Trout & Splake. Little Bear Lake has depths of approximately 140 ft. to 200 ft. deep, which is the perfect spawning grounds for Lake Trout. If you are an avid angler, fly fisherman or ice fisherman Little Bear Lake is the place to be.
Little Bear Lake is an ideal location for the adventurous scuba diver, with crystal clear water, underwater cliffs and currents. Late March is the perfect time of year for the even more adventerous ice divers.
If you like to just get away and experience the wilderness, bring along a pail and pick abundant blueberries and moss cranberries. Bring along an ATV and go siteseeing on the endless kilometers of trails. Don't forget your camera! You might get a glimpse of the local herd of Elk, Moose or White Tail Deer. Go for moonlit walk and listen to the owls while you are watching the most exquisit views of the Northern Lights......you can almost reach out and touch them!
Visit us in the winter months. The resort along with the local snowmobile club ( Esker Bear Inc. ) takes pride in the fact that the area has some of the best snowmobiling trails in Saskatchewan. There are approximately 350 kms of groomed trails and hundreds of kilometers of "off-road" trails. There are many warm-up shelters along the trail to stop at to light a warm fire. The local trail system links up with surrounding clubs on the Trans-Canada Trail. The elevation of the area is the third highest in Saskatchewan which creates some of the greatest snow conditions. Average annual snowfall is 4 feet.
